Just a little Update~

Hey guys, just as the title says. just a little update.

I was bored at college today, I have a 2 hour break of pure nothing and am wearing pretty high heels so walking to town is a no-go.

So I thought, "eh, why not log on to Blogger and actually update for once" - and so I am.

I trawled through Hello-Online to see that apparently miss Nakajima Saki (sekushii incarnate) updated her blog and mentioned that DIY♥ has filmed a PV for their single. Now, I don't read Japanese and I'm not even sure how to find Nakky's blog. But if this is true...

If this is true... OHMAIFREAKINGAWD YES HOLY SH*T YESSSSSSSSS <3

I'm so happy~ So so freaking happy. I look forward to it and I hope it's true~ If someone was just trolling on the Iikubo Haruna thread I'mma be MIFFED.

Oh wait, just saw this little beauty on the Picboard of Hello-Online!

Maybe this is where they filmed? Looks dark and is that a laser in the corner above Huniibo? It looks kind like a nightclub scene; dark, smokey, laser effects. Are they at a rave? Will I get to see them in luminous face paint? And more importantly - will there be stripper poles? //Shot

/Calms down.

Anyway~ Originally (before finding out the awesome news) I was going to ask you guys to give me examples of Indies singles amd groups. I want to do a 30 days of Indies series. But I have no clue where to start. /FAIL

I intend to dso this post to better acqaint myself with the Idol world. I know too little and I need to broaden my horizons.

Help guys?

MORNING MUSUME 11 GEN ANNOUNCED

THIS IS SO FREAKING SUDDEN AND I KNOW I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN FOREVER - I'M SORRY OKAY?! - BUT HOLY EFF THE UTAHIME HAS ALREADY BEEN DECIDED!!!!

Tsunku - that sexy mofo - announced on his blog the winner of the Suppin Utahime Audition. And Holy crap I was not expecting to hear anything so soon. I thought maybe I'd get some juicy bootcqamp footage, see some girls crying, listen to them singing and watch Tsunku make his eyebrows dance as he decided who would make the cut.

Apparently not!!

We get a little footage from Hello!SATOYAMA life with excerpts of the girls singing and dancing, introducing themselves. And I wanted them all to pass. Every. Single. One. The first ever 6 nin generation would have been AMAZING.

I loved them all. Ono Haruka and Oda Sakura were most definitetly the most talented (in my opinion) their voices are simply orgasmic. srsly.

Here is the SATOYAMA Life footage for your viewing pleasure~

For some reason it didn't let me post it straight from YT so the linky is abooooove~

But anyway, back to the whole blog post the Tsunk-meister made. He announced the winner peoples before he posted a divine video that shows the winners talents. I am so freaking happy with his choice.

So, now you all must know the 11th gen by now?

So it's safe for me to type it!!

She auditioned for S/mileage, recently cut her hair (which I don't like), H!P Egg, it's the one. THE ONLY~

ODA SAKURAAAAAAAAAAA~~~

I'm so freaking PLEASED. I mean, I really, really wanted them all to join, but I do love Sakura's voice, so she is a very wonderful addition to Morning Musume. Hope she doesn't feel too lonely >.<

I'm just worried that all the other talent from the finals is going to be stalked by Aki-P and become a part of the AKB family. TT.TT

If you're wondering why this post was full off Psuedo-drunkness, it's because I am hurrying to finish this as my sister is almost home from college.
And it's our birthday today, this is the present ever~~ THANK YOU TSUNKUUUUUUU <3

Pretty Costumes for Berryz Single

The official profile pictures for Berryz Koubou's newest single 'Cha Cha SING' have been released.
The costumes seem to be some form of Thai traditional dress, but in a more modern style.

Here's an example of traditional Thai dress.
And here's another (I love this one).

I find this to be the most charming and beautiful of all the outfits that Berryz have worn in the past. It is easy to make such bright outfits gaudy and tacky, but I find that they have done it well.
The colours are very royal and rich in tone, the gold pattern upon the clothing is very traditional and looks so wonderful, I'm glad that the costume designers went in this direction with the outfits.

I prefer the deep blue as it suits their pale skin tone better in my opinion. The red is vibrant, but I don't think it does the girls justice in bringing out their beauty, it washes them out and makes them look a little sickly. (But of course they didn't think about skin tone when picking colours, they picked out colours based on lead vocals, take a look at who's in red.)

I find the crowns to be rather large, and slightly out of place on a few of the girls - but that is mainly due to the hairstyles they have making it look stupid.

My favourite part of the costume to be their bracelets, I love the cloth that is attached tot he bangles, if I were wearing them I wouldn't stop waving them about, I obviously haven't heard the song yet, but I imagine that when the girls dance the 'bracelets' will look mesmerizing.

On to the profile pictures!

All of the outfits look the same (apart from the colours) except for Captains, at the center point of her belt sash is a turquoise coloured gem.
Sadly, I find Captain to look very awkward in this picture and her crown looks like it doesn't belong due to the massive ponytail to the side.

God dammit Momoko! Get rid of the twin tails!!
Despite how boring her hair is, the outfits suits her really well, and her pose in the pictures are definitely the cutest, which we all know she prides herself on. I find the red to be the most flattering on her, probably because her hair is black and it contrasts well.

Ah Chinami~ Look at that gorgeous grin, so youthful, so charming~ You can practically see the sparkle in her eyes. She is one of the few that suits having a crown. Truly, she is befitting of royalty.

I'm surprised at how good Maasa looks in this! Normally I find her lingering in the background forgotten, somewhat like a wallflower. But royal blue looks perfect on her and the crown suits her the most, I'm glad they left her hair down, I like long hair. Not keen on the pose in the full body shot, but her close up is nice.

Miyabi is gorgeous as per freaking usual, but they made an error with the colour, since her hair has a reddish tint to it and the top is red, it has made her skin look pink in hue, like she is embarrassed at something. It is not extremely obvious, but you can definitely see the difference in skin tone from her face to her waist.

Yurina looks great! Ever since Dakishimete Dakishimete she has been looking particularly charming and model-like. This is such a great look for her, I recommend that she wear more blue in her everyday clothes, no complaints for her.

I have been warming up to Risako lately, I used to severely dislike the girl, and I'm too sure why (other than her having tonnes of lines - which she doesn't decide who gets them). Sadly, she isn't looking so great here, I could blame the slightly ruffled skirt making her hips look too big, or I could blame the colour washing out her skin, but I actually really, really, hate her hair colour. I think it makes her look older, and not in a good way. On the plus side, her hairstyle is nice and her earrings look pretty, the make up is quite nice too.

Okay, I'm done here, just felt I should update at some point.
And I have a poll out for what content you'd like to see on here. So, click away!

Sex muffins and Douchebagerry

What's this I hear? An scandal you say? An AKB girl? Hmmm... I don't really care for AKB that much, I prefer SKE48. Who got caught this time? Sasshi-
WHAT?! MY SASHIKO, the only AKB member I even LIKE?!

So, here's the article scans
It took me ages to figure out that two of these pictures are boobs, but notice the not-so-flat-chested-ness and lack of her face in the chest shots? Totally another girl.

Why? Just why?? After reading up on this entire news article it was from some butt-hurt dude back in 2008-2009, why even call up a journalist after so long? It wouldn't happen to be because in the past year my darling Rino happened to have a solo single would it? It definitely couldn't be because of her sudden rise in popularity and getting 4th in the senbatsu. I'm sure it was a completely unrelated event that made him mention he and Sasshi 'bumped uglies' eons ago. A-hole.

Apparently this guy was a Wota, and whilst Sasshi was still a wee little Trainee, they met and decided to get to know each other better - if you know what I mean.
According to Sashihara they had exchanged phone numbers after talking on her mixi account and were 'just friends'. I sincerely hope that is the truth, she doesn't seem like the type of person who would jeopardize her career for some boy.

This supposed ex-boyfriend seems like a fan fiction writer, just look at this excerpt from the article:

“She was really precocious, despite being a year younger than me… When I went in her room, she told me ‘Are you just going to stand there looking at me?’ and ‘Come over here,’ and then put my hand on her thigh. Something snapped in me then and I pushed her down and we kissed for the first time.”

Hah, he either took it from fan fiction, or a really bad Eroge (Erotic game) script, I swear I have read something along these lines before in a story somewhere.

Option two is what would have actually happened if she did offer him smexy times.

I find it stupid that Rino cannot be sexually active because she is an Idol - but the whole point of Idols is that they are pure and chaste, they don't do all the weird and wonderful things that happen in a bedroom (and occasionally elsewhere). I really, really don't think Sashiko would do this, it really doesn't seem like her kind of thing.

Fans have speculated that the girl in the pictures isn't even Sashihara. They think it's an AV Idol who looks uncannily like her. A couple of fans pointed out that the photos of her boobs couldn't have been Sasshi's since she is quite flat-chested, and apparently their ears look very different. Having seen the pictures myself, the differences are quite noticeable, I really wish I could find the pictures again.

As well as this, the story is quite inconsistent, I mean seriously, how could he even have got in and done the two-thrust tango when she lived in a one room apartment with her mum? Journalists are stupid for thinking I'd believe this pile of w*nk. This post shows the inconsistencies very well.

Another thing that seriously bothers me is that she is being moved to HKT48, now, I hardly know anything about these girls other than they haven't had a debut PV, and they are roughly aged between 13-15. I find Aki-P's decision awful. The way he has sort of 'demoted' Sasshi to a new-ish group is unfair on both HKT and Sashiko,  it's as if he is using the HKT48 girls as a punishment.

I understand where he is coming from with the whole using Sashihara as an example for what they shouldn't be doing, but it's still really mean. Rino-chan will look so old in comparison, as if she's a babysitter, or Momma-HKT.

None of this sits well with me at all. Aki-P is a Douchebag, with a capital 'D', 'cuz he's important.

One thing I know is bothering a tonne of Wota is that Aki-P didn't smack down the ban-hammer and kick her out like the other girls, well, I'm guessing the reason is because there is no real evidence, the photos are really crappy, the article is written poorly, he has no real proof that she's done the dirty, so he can't ban her from the 48 family, it would be too harsh. I think the other two girls were actually caught with their boyfriends, hence their expulsion.

I think I'm done here.
This event has severely p*ssed me off, and I really wanted to type this drunk. But I have a baby so that ain't happening.
Maaaan... This is such a downer.

Stupid obsessed fanboy...

HOLY SH*T

OH MY GOD NAKAZAWA YUKO IS FREAKING PREGNANT!!

I'm so happy!! I hope it all goes well for her, she is a little older than most women who have kids these days (I know it's normal and relatively safe to have kids at 39, but you have got less chance of a healthy pregnancy).

I'll be honest I didn't think it would happen considering her age, oh this is so wonderful! I wonder what she's having? I'm thinking a girl. What does Chiima think? Huh, Chiima, tell me! Tellllll meeeeee~

I bet Chiima of Okay! Musume Time! £10 that Nakazawa-san is having a little girl.

Hmm... going by a due date calculator the child would be born roughly around October 25th. (But these things are never accurate, it's just a rough guide. Babapon was lazy and I had to be induced 13 days past her due date)

How about when it hits September, I'll ask people to guess when the baby will be born, and whoever guesses correctly I shall buy them the most recent Momusu (Or whichever H!P unit of your choosing) single that has been brought out. Think of it like a mini-competition.

Keep your eyes peeled for the competition post in September. It seems like a long time away, but it'll go quickly, I'm sure.

A Coming of Age PV - Mano Erina [Song for the DATE] Review

I am so sorry if as you read this you cannot make sense of it, my writing is often incomprehensible, and since this was written over the course of several days (hey, I have a child, she needs my time too) it will be more awful than normal.

Recently Hello!Project have become pretty awesome when it comes to a great sounding single and interesting PVs, from the amazing-ness of Chou Happy Song to the edgy new Momusu single, things are looking up for the quality of H!P releases. And Mano Erina's newest single 'A Song for the DATE' is a testament to better, more cinematic, and outstanding PVs.

In this PV Mano is split into to different sides of herself White Mano, and Black Mano, and neither of these characters or personalities are good, or bad. White Mano represents (in my opinion) the younger Mano, a childish girl who isn't ready to grow up and doesn't want to change and move on to more responsibilities and a grown ups world.
Black Mano is the older much more mature side of Mano, she represents Mano's feelings of wanting to change and been seen as an adult, she wants to be taken more seriously.

Prior to watching the video, I had not seen nor heard anything of this single, I have a tendency to not listen to a release unless the full PV is revealed, especially with Mano Erina because I find her very dull. (Although her newer releases have been wonderful and seem to stick in my head, she still isn't anywhere near one of my favourite J-artists). Loading the video, I wasn't expecting to watch anything particularly brilliant.

~Review~

It started with a very electro pop tune and an auto tuned voice repeating the title over and over, the shadow of a young woman strolled across a beach holding her heels loosely to her side, smoke and what appear to be feathers dance against the dusky shades of the pink and purple sky. The girl halted her stride, and carelessly dropped her shoes onto the sand. As the heeled shoes hit the ground, the most wonderful sounding piece of music that H!P has produced began to play.

In the beginning Black Mano is tied up and seemingly unconscious, she opens her eyes, only to see someone holding up a poster of her younger self. The poster is moved away, and the holder is revealed to be White Mano.

White Mano is staring at the weak looking form of her more mature self and gives her a taunting smile, moving her hand across her face, changing her expression to a more serious one, she runs off, starting a game of cat and mouse.

Black Mano pulls herself away from her white bindings (things that are tying her to her younger self?), and gives chase to her other side.

B-Mano runs into a dilapidated area in search for W-Mano, instead she finds hundreds of posters plastered all over the remnants of buildings, upon seeing them, B-Mano rips as many of them down as she can.

(I think this scenes meaning is that B-Mano is ready to move on, but is being kept there by her other self. The remnants of buildings symbolize her career as a child, she has outgrown it, wants to move on to better, fresher grounds, White Mano tries to keep her there longer by leaving around posters or 'memories' of the good time she had as a child, and engaging her in a game of chase.)

B-Mano throws away the posters quite angrily. (I believe they were put there as a hindrance, a distraction so B-Mano doesn't catch up with W-Mano too quickly.) As she throws the posters, she catches sight of W-Mano holding up one of the many posters. (Probably trying to get B-Mano to associate good memories with her younger side). W-Mano smiles rather condescendingly again, then her expression once again changes via hand movement and she runs further into the ruins.

As B-Mano runs after W-Mano - who is quite a ways ahead of her - you get a shot of W-Mano atop a hill, making a binocular shape with her hands, spying on B-Mano. She smiles as she watches B-Mano come across more posters/memories, she then pulls her 'binoculars' away and frowns as B-Mano tears the posters, taking apart the memories W-Mano cherishes.

The next shots show W-Mano skipping away rather joyfully, and happily taunting B-Mano as she tries to catch up. I love how playful, but somehow serious these running scenes are, B-Mano runs frantically, she is hurried, whilst W-Mano seems to really be enjoying herself.

As B-Mano runs out of breath, she stops and looks around, apparently having lost sight of W-Mano, she gives a little smile, probably realizing how silly their game of chase is. At this point I have a feeling that B-Mano knows she needs to accept her childish side to be able to fully grow up, she can't just forget her old self.

She starts running again and comes to face a projected recording of W-Mano changing her expressions again.
(I am not sure why W-Mano keeps smiling and then she swiftly changes her mood. I can't think of any solid reasoning for this. Maybe she is showing B-Mano how happy she is as her younger self, and then gives her a serious frown to show that growing up will cause her unhappiness? This is the only thing I can think of, if anyone has any other ideas please comment with it)

White Mano starts singing along with Black Mano and the lyrics are displayed across the screen as they do so, I would love to know what it actually says, it might actually reveal more about the video.

You get a shot of the white bindings that Black Mano were tied to, and it has White Mano's dress and shoes bound to the ribbons. I take this to mean that after the realization that she needed to accept every side of herself, B-Mano and W-Mano become one and are the entity known as Mano Erina. From here on out, White Mano is no longer shown in the PV.

We get to see the posters of Mano burning, this is possibly a sign of big changes in Mano Erina's career, her singles are becoming more serious, each day she is maturing, the youthful era seems to be turning into the very ash that disperses along the shoreline at the beginning and ends of the video.
Mano is shown walking along the beach holding her heels, just like the beginning of the PV, she looks out onto the horizon, reflecting on her feelings and the choices she's made.

The PV ends with Mano on the beach, singing and swaying to the music, feathers floating around her and the sunset shining behind her form.

~Conclusion~

I'm very surprised at how this turned out, I never expect much from Mano Erina, and as previously stated have never found her interesting, but this PV is absolutely amazing. I'm stunned at how good it turned out, especially from a Hello!Project piece - not to say I don't like H!P videos, but they definitely are... cheap and tacky. When I found out that the PV was directed by an actual movie director I was not surprised at all, it makes much more sense than it being directed by someone from Hello!Project.
Some of the shots in the video were amazing, especially the shots of Erina tied up, and the chase scenes. The director makes ruined building look great rather than grungy. Overall the PV was beautifully done, a shining example of cinematography.

In my opinion this is a 'coming of age' single for Mano, there is heavy symbolism for making a decision, casting off doubts, and moving forward in life.
The video is a very good way of showing an inner struggle, she has fond memories as a child, but at the same time she realizes she must take a step forward in her life, and although it is scary, it is the best decision for her. I loved the story line behind it (or the story line I assumed as I watched).

In my opinion this is the best PV that UFA has ever released. The song was upbeat and catchy, definitely something that sticks in your head for the rest of the day, the slight electronic sound gave it a nice edge and there wasn't so much of it that the lyrics became incomprehensible, which is always a good thing.

I really adore this single, and desperately hope that Hello!Pro keep up the good work they've been doing so far, maybe then we will see some better sales and higher ranking in the singles charts.

I would love it if someone could possibly translate, i'm still god awful at Japanese.

Once again, sorry for anything incomprehensible or badly phrased. My writing is often all over the place and can get very confusing.
