Damn H!P You Getting Good at This 'Music' Thing!

Dear Sweet Jesus, someone uploaded a concert? preview of one of Momusu's A-sides: One•Two•Three

And my god, it was amazing. Everything about it is ah-may-zing. The dance, the outfits, the hairstyles, the music, sweet lord the music! I never knew Morning Musume could sound this electro - so different from any other song they've done! Is this what my new era sounds like? Is this the future? I'm so god damn happy *weeps*
How? Just... How? Hello!Project did this? When did they manage to become so creative with outfit, music and hair? Usually they pick one of those three and run with it, this time all is good! Everything. I love EVERYTHING.

Despite the outfits being so simple they are so stunning~ I love how they are wearing the same thing but with little accessories in their member colours that just accent the clothing so beautifully. The perfectly black skirt with wonderfully contrasting with its' white-lined decoration. And, my goodness, the corsets, they are just, so damn gorgeous! Corsets are one of my favourite types of clothing, and they suit all of the girls so, so well.

This single has my absolute favourite hairstyles, they're all so individual and unique, Haruka, looks so god damn fierce! And Haruna looks adorable.

I'm going to save the rest of my thoughts for when the PV actually comes out. But, I love this single already, it's a great way for the double A-side to begin, I can only hope that The Matenrou Show is just as good, if not better!

One more thing. Haruka. You're 12, stop looking so hawt! You make me feel like a total perv for noticing how sexy looking you are in this. Seriously. How does a 12 year old look so awesome? I'm 18 and I have zero amounts of hotness, this elementary schooler has buckets of the stuff.

Looking forward to the PV! I want it out now!

We Were Bored Today

So, today I was bored, and my daughter was starting to get a little antsy, so I sat her down, and we watched all of the videos for the Shuffle Units in Hello! Project.
For most of them she was bored and just kept staring at her dress, or looking at my computer mouse (it has red LED lights and makes her laugh)

The only PV to actually capture her attention (for at least awhile) was Shiawase Beam! SukiSuki Beam! by Happy 7. So here's the video created from boredom: Baba-pon's First Impression of Shiawase Beam! SukiSuki Beam!

When she can actually talk I'm going to ask her for her opinions on PVs I love seeing what people think for the first time, and seeing my own child's reactions, and how her mind works out these videos, I can't wait until she' older. The only thing I worry about is that I bother her so much with these videos that she hates Jpop, it would be a little upsetting.

Do any other of you Wota have kids? If so, do they like the music you like? Have they rejected it because you like it so much? Or have you not bothered them with this kind of thing?

Somehow, A Momusu PV Slipped Under My Radar

Either through lack of internet, being a bad Wota, or sheer blindness, I have never seen this Morning Musume PV before in my life. I have heard the song before, but somehow never did a YouTube search to find out there was a PV all along. I love seeing PVs that I have never seen before, especially when they're relatively old, you get a sense of nostalgia. The song is 'Ganbacchae!'

Around the time that Morning Musume created their 5th album, they made a Single V to sell alongside it which had a PV for both HEY! Mirai and Ganbacchae! (a song featuring Morning Musume, the already graduated Goto Maki, and H!P kids - later known as Berryz Koubou and C-ute) I had already seen HEY! Mirai long ago, so long ago it feels like decades.
I liked HEY! Mirai, it was catchy, but the close up shots were a tad boring. Ganbacchae! - which was sold alongside it - is a more mellow, cute song, but the PV is, in my opinion, much more interesting.

The song opens with the H!P kids colouring on sketchpads. They are in a garden, surrounded by bold green bits of felt grass.
When the lyrics start, it shows the children in adorable pink school outfits alongside Momusu members helping them plant trees, the Momusu girls are also wearing the same outfits as the H!P kids, but a blue version. (Maybe Ai Araba it's Alright took inspiration from these outfits?)

Throughout they PV they are going through different seasons playing and having fun, everyone in this looks so cute, I love how soft, and cuddly they all look.

I'm just going to assume this is their interpretation of Spring.

Aii~n?!

Summer, with a skipping, rather silly looking Aibon.

A rather radiant looking Tsuji, also in Summer, catching cgi butterfree..

Konno and Mako-chan fixing the tree on one particularly stormy Autumn day.

Gocchin is readying her throw, aim it at Tsunku!

Either Ai-chan really loves Winter or Tsunku just got hit in the balls.

The PV is simple and has bold colours, probably aimed at a younger crowd, I like when Momusu has the younger feel in their PVs, it actually resembles the Goto Maki single 'Te wo Nigitte Arukitai!' in colour and boldness, the outfits are quite similar too.
See?!

My favourite shots are when it shows all of the girls at the microphone, I like being able to see what they look like standing and recording, it makes them seem more 'real'.

Chibiiiiiii

Smilie fayshes

Yossie looks like she is having a profound moment.

MOAR CHIBEH

Gaki gots an epic voice right here, gurrl be amazing.

There was a relatively pretty sequence of childish drawings and then a wall full of the kiddies pictures, 'twas nice.
See, they're nice.

Everyone sounded great in this single, in my opinion the most prominent voice was Niigaki's at such a young age you could already hear the deepness, maturity, and talent in her voice, it's wonderful to see someone so youthful with an amazing voice. She should have got more lines.

Like most Morning Musume singles this one is about love, and trying your best at love and life. This is such a recurring theme in H!P, especially at the time that this was created. Kei, Iida, Abe and Yossie had the most lines - but barely, it is a pretty evenly distributed song, which is always a plus. I'm so glad it wasn't a Abe x Goto featruing: Momusu, because that would've sucked hard.

I'm quite sad that I had missed this single for all these years of loving Momusu, it's really strange how I hadn't come across it at all before. But I'm also glad I could find it now that I have a blog, it at least gives me something else to talk about. Who knows, maybe a few of you guys hadn't seen it either, and now you can witness the adorafluffleness of it all.

Here's the PV! Enjoy!

And here's the Subbed version!

Well, I Did Say I'm Not A One-Idol-Woman

Once again, H!P have pumped out yet another e-Hello DVD for the ever expanding collection, so, who do I have the pleasure of dating today?

Ah! Masaki-chan~ My energetic ray of sunshine, it's a pleasure to be accompanying you, on this fine day. Where shall be going, my dear?

*Silence*

Um... Why aren't you answering me, Masachii?

*Goofy, yet, strangely charming laugh*
Did... Did I say something funny? You're acting rather strange today Masachii. Did another Wota slip you something, did you accept a weird drink from a stranger?

Oh, you are much calmer now, have the side effects worn off? Nice dress, by the way, lilac suits you.

You look so magnificent right now, if I only I had a camera to capture your innocent smile. Oh how I love your perfect smile, the way your eyes turn to crescents, my dear, sweet girl, you are shining with beauty right now.

"Bai bai, Mamba-san~ See you tomorrow?"
What? But our meeting was so brief! Well, alright, I'll see you tomorrow.

Sorry to keep you waiting Maa-chan! I-

Well... Uh-

 Oh, nice skirt.

Maa-chan, you should be more careful when spinning! What if a perverted Wota spots your panties?!

You're so free-spirited, I'm assuming it's due to you being so young, you still have that wonderful vitality, ah, youth.

This feels... Familiar, have I walked down here before? Ah yes! You must go to the same school as Kudou-chan. No wonder I was having a sense of Déjà vu.

Hey! Quit poking me, Masachii! Cheeky! ...What an odd send off... Goodbye my
beloved Masachii, have a fun school day with Kudou!

I prefer this e-Hello Greetings PV to Kudou Haruka's one. Masaki is much more lively,
but then again, she is the 'childish' one in Morning Musume. This one felt more fun, and
Masaki had a big grin all throughout, which was wonderful. There is nothing better than
seeing someone truly enjoy what they do, and Masaki definitely seemed to be enjoying
herself.
There's something about Satou that I absolutely adore, she is always so happy, and
although her voice is squeaky, I have a good feeling that she will be amazing in concert,
for what little was shown of her on the Ultra Smart USB, I couldn't stop staring at her,
I can't figure it out, but she just seemed so at peace on stage, as if she had been doing
this for years - she belonged there. Her happiness and joy shows through in anything
she does, she's definitely the 'happy-go-lucky' and 'innocent' character of her generation.

I would love to see the full version, and personally can not wait until they release it!

Ever Changing Musume

Jeez... I haven't updated since the 7th of May... Sorry.

Ugh, couldn't they have made a better official picture? Eripon has awful hair in this one...

Once again, Morning Musume are going back to their constantly changing roots.  Kamei Eri, JunJun and LinLin graduate, 9th gen join, Takahashi Ai graduates, 10th generation join, Niigaki Risa decides to leave and then Mitsui Aika suddenly joins her in graduation.

The only logical thing now would be to add a new generation, continue the flow nicely. And yes, Tsunku/UFA agree. Wonderful.

I am absolutely ecstatic about this. I was never around for the original Musume, the continuous change of young women, I was there when Kusumi Koharu graduated, when Takahashi was leader and the line-up didn't change for so, so long. This has me so excited, I will be watching out for every scrap of information I can get on the 11th gen auditions. I'm sincerely hoping that another 'older' girl will join, like Haruna.

It would be great if the title ~Suppin Utahime~ actually matched the type of girl Tsunku-san is looking for, a fresh-faced girl with amazing vocals would be perfect and bump up Momusu's popularity again.
Man, I'm waiting for the day that Musume CRUSH AKB48, and take their true place as Leaders of the Idol world. Oh, how I can imagine Daishi killing them slowly. I mean, look at that murderous intent!
Damn Daishi, you crazy

Anyway... I think two girls would be good number, not too many, but not a disappointment like the one member generations. Two amazing singers, or at least, one very ambitious hard-worker who is good on panel/variety shows, and one amazingly talented singer who can both hit high notes and sound great with a deep, Gaki-like voice. I know I'm wishing for too much. It's hard to find someone with that much talent.

Obviously several people are not liking the idea of another generation so soon. Which, to be honest, I don't really understand, since that is the focal point of Morning Musume. I accept every change in Morning Musume, every member, no matter how annoying, or boring they may be, it will not stop me from thinking that Momusu is an outstanding group. People who claim to 'abandon' the group when big changes happen clearly don't understand this Idol group. Ugh, I'm getting off track here...

Back to the subject at hand, I would love to see Youtube sensation Cuca (3u10) get in, I have been watching her videos for maybe 2 years? She has greatly improved on dancing and singing, and would do very well in Momusu, but, she would also have a huge chance of being pushed to the back of the group - unless they realize her abilities and shove her to the front, destroying all chances of equal line distribution for everyone else - which I wouldn't enjoy.

Overall my thoughts on adding a new generation are very positive, I love seeing which girls make it through, guessing which ones will pass, hearing the talent that may or may not be added, it's thrilling getting to see a small glimpse of stardom in the futures of these girls. I can only hope that the turn out this year is a good one and maybe Tsunku won't pick a 'project' this time. It's nice to see them develop, but if he wants to get back on top again, he'll need some real natural talent.

Come back later for another post, hopefully there won't be a 2 week waiting period again.

Another E-Hello for the Lolicon Collection.

Checking Tokyohive, Arama, and Hello!Sayunii I see no updates that bear relevance to my tastes, and then I switch to Youtube, and unexpectedly, morningmusumechannel uploaded this little beauty. That's right, Kudou Haruka e-Hello ~Greeting~ DVD preview.

Ah~ Kudou~ My darling little Loli, a sweet little girl. Just look at her porcelain skin, just as smooth as the sakura tree she gazes so serenely at. A charming smile graces her lips. Her dark brown hair is partially styled into a messy bun, the rest of her chocolate hair tumbles out and cascades across her shoulders. At such a young age, she is already quite the beauty.

Ah! It looks like she's spotted me. Judging from the slightly surprised but still happy look on her face, I think she wants me to stay.

Sweet, sweet Kudou, oh you look so precious as you gaze into my eyes, you hardly even know me, and yet your stare is so tender.

She looks so adorable in this dress, the striped blue really suits her, it falls upon her body nicely and it showcases her legs wonderfully, whilst also being a dress that suits a child, rather than one too mature for her age. The slightly confused look is just so cute, I love walking with you Kuu-chan.
In this shot you kind of look like Satou Masaki in this shot Kuu-chan. That kind of makes me wonder what her e-hello will look like. Sorry Kudou, but I'm just not a one idol woman. I hope you understand.

Oh she appears to be fine with this. Hmm? Oh it's time for you to go home? *waves*

Kuu-chan, you look so good with your silky hair flowing in the breeze. So, so pretty. I guess now it is time to bid you goodbye. I will see you soon, lovely Haruka.

Good morning Haruka, lovely school uniform, it suits you rather well <3 I believe I know this train station rather well. Do you go to the same school as Airi and Mano-san?

Yes Haruka, the flower is quite pretty, but it is nowhere near as cute as you, my natural beauty.

Aww, how playfully sweet, but I'm not sure why you just blew petals into my eye, that hurt Kuu-chan =(

It's okay Haruka, I forgive you - how could I stay mad at such a pretty face?

My dear, darling Haruka, how I adore walking with you, this day has been just delightful.

Ah, so this is where we say goodbye for the last time, no no, don't cry, we will always have our forbidden love. *sniff*

Thoughts

This was a good preview, generally I dislike how silent the e-Hello DVDs can be, but this one had a rather upbeat undertone to it, it fit Kudou-chan's personality, childish, innocent, but still gentle and calm, quite mature. In every pause Kudou looked stunning, it's surprising how beautiful someone can be at such a young age, goodness knows how gorgeous she will be as she gets older. All of the shots were very cliché, standing under a cherry blossom tree, schoolgirl outfit, train station, etc. but they looked fantastic visually, and Kudou is such a cutie I don't mind staring at the very typical idol scenarios.
I hope that in the full version of her e-Hello there will be a lot more outfits and something a little more diverse than a classroom or school gym - but let's not get our hopes up.
I'm thinking that she will get several DVDs and  photo books later on in her career, she is very photogenic, a cosplay based PB would be nice "Kudou-chan in Wonderland", maybe?. Mad Hatter Kudou would be fun to see.

I have a feeling that Ayumi will have the next e-Hello DVD, but the one I'm waiting for is Haruna. She's my favourite 10th gen member.

A Rose That Shall Never Bloom

Remember when I made that joke about a lame duckling?

So, it was recently announced that one Mitsui Aika of Morning Musume shall be graduating. Who expected this? Pretty much every Wota in existence. How many Wota are genuinely upset? Not many.

Since her audition, Mittsi has been the one member that is most disliked, unpopular, and hardly ever seen. Her biggest push was in Egao yes Nude! - her debut single. Since that point in her career she has seldom seen a solo line, it's even rare on an album. I feel sorry for her, she wanted to make a statement, be seen more, be well liked, but she was pushed to the back.

I was really hoping that since Ai left she would be shown more in PVs, have more lines in singles, heck even album lines would be great. Ai left, and Mittsi's foot was still injured, Aika had no time to shine. Niigaki announced her graduation, and in regards to Mittsi I at least thought that by then her foot would be fully healed and she could jump back onto the Momusu scene, ready to dance like crazy and actually be in a single fully, showcase any hidden talents.

Her graduation was announced a couple of days ago. I was expecting this - everyone was, it would be surprising if she didn't graduate this year. I can handle this news, I'll admit, I'm going to miss her presence, at least she'll still blog, right? I hope so.

Wait. Graduating with Gaki, on the 18th... Two weeks?!

Now hold up... That's unfair.

Two weeks notice. I know it's for a good reason and all, she wants to leave quickly as to not be a hindrance, and so no more damage can be done to her fragile body, but, seriously? Two friggin' weeks?
This means, no handshake event, no FC tour, no Photo Book. Nothing. She will have nothing to commemorate her graduation, nothing to say, "Hey, I do have fans, they do care about me, and I wasn't just riding off of everyone's success."
It's pitiful, so unjust, I feel so upset that she will have nothing. She doesn't even have a PV where she fully participates. Chances are she won't even get a crappy cover song to sell, unless it's poorly made.

A lot of people are complaining that she is graduating early on purpose because she's selfish and wants to steal Gaki-sans spotlight. Are these people idiots? (Mainly Arama posters, might I add). If anything, Aika will have nothing, Just like the EriJunLin concert was all about Eri, so much fuss for Eri, but none for JunJun and LinLin. It's most likely going to be Gaki having center stage, and Aika on the side, forgotten. And she doesn't deserve to be treated so badly, all she has done is love Morning Musume, adore her fans, sing with pride and joy even with only chorus lines - and she gets nothing. Nothing at all.

Why can't people see that she is an amazing, beautiful, talented and loving girl who just wanted to do well in her career and work hard with her friends. She deserves more. She should have had a PV to herself after the years of crap she's put up with.

*sigh* She would have been a great leader one day... She has already shown that she is a great Senpai, and everyone in H!P loves her...

Mamba gonna go cry now.

Here's some random sexy pictures of the old unchanging line up.
